David Ermal Hull, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at his home in Des Moines.

David was born September 9, 1950, in Des Moines, Iowa to Ermal and Thelma (Sharp) Hull. He was a truck driver for various companies throughout his life. After retirement, he worked security. David enjoyed photography, especially of animals and specifically cats. He liked the outdoors and spent time biking and kayaking. David was a music fan and George Strait was his favorite artist.

He was a good man with a big heart. He knew no strangers. If he was out in public, you could always find him talking to someone. David was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone. He was a jack of all trades, and a master of none.

He is survived by his wife, Chris Hull; sister, Judy Sellner; son, Scott Hull; granddaughter, Kendall Hull; and other extended family and friends.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Hull; father, Ermal Hull; and his daughter, Dawn Hull.

Celebration of life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 15, 2024 held at Tumea & Sons Restaurant, 1501 SE 1st St, Des Moines, Iowa.
