Danny Ray Armstrong, 70, passed away on September 27, 2025, at the VA Hospital in Des Moines.

Danny was born on October 1, 1954, in Centerville, Iowa, to Junior and Norma (Curtis) Armstrong.

Danny was a baker in the Marines and had various jobs throughout his life. He loved hard rock music and donated all of his CD’s to the other veterans at the Des Moines Central VA Hospital.

Danny is survived by his brother Steve Armstrong, half-brother Aaron Gilbert, and three children Danny Armstrong Jr., Joey Armstrong, and Jennifer Armstrong.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Norma;

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Iowa Veterans Cemetery; 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adel, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Iowa Veterans Foundation in honor of Danny.
