Dan Phillip Mongar, 74, passed away at home on June 25, 2025, forever leaving his mark in this world. He was born on January 4, 1951 to Phil and Norma (Brandt) in Des Moines, Iowa.

Dan enjoyed building and working on old cars. He was always tinkering on a project and trying to figure how to improve on it. He was working on his latest project up to the time of his death. He loved being with his family and always looked forward to their visits.

Dan is survived by his wife, Kathleen; daughter, Jennifer Kuhns; son, Jason Mongar; grandson, Ryan Mongar; brothers, David Mongar and Dana (Elizabeth) Mongar.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Norma; granddaughter, Brooklyn Rose and mother-in-law, Mary Marean.

No services are planned at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
