Charlotte Mae Augspurger, 86, of Altoona, Iowa passed away peacefully at Taylor House on November 17, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Charlotte was born in Lovilla, Iowa to John Ross Mattix and Nadine (Johnson) Mattix and grew up in the Oskaloosa area. She married Arden Augspurger of University Park, Iowa in 1953. Together they raised their four children on a small acreage near Van Meter, Iowa.

She enjoyed caring for her children and the family pets. She loved all kinds of music and her home was filled with the sounds from a large record collection.

Charlotte is survived by her children, Alan (Debra) Augspurger of Bondurant, Deb (Jim) Curry of Runnells, Greg (Tracy) Augspurger of Runnells and Julie (Craig) Hermann of Altoona; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and her brother, John Dallas (Ann) Mattix of Oskaloosa.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth Ann Lage and grandson David Augspurger.

Private graveside service will take place at Lowman Cemetery in Runnells, Iowa.
