Charles "Chick" Hesser

Charles “Chick” Hesser, 85, passed away on August 16, 2024.

Chick was born on April 19, 1939, to Hank and Etta Jane Hesser, in the bottoms. Chick retired from John Deere and was a proud member of UAW450. His hobbies included telling stories about his days working at John Deere, mushroom hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his loved ones.

Chick is survived by his wife of 65 years, Connie; his son, Kevin (Brooke); his son-in-law, Rick; his granddaughter, Amy; his great-grandchildren, Victoria, Nicolas, and Theo; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

Chick is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Kim; and his grandson, Jon.

Family will be greeting friends on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home; 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa.
