Carrie Ludwick

Carrie Ludwick, 75, passed away on June 29, 2024 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born on February 5, 1949 to Charles and Margaret Parkinson.

Carrie graduated from Iowa State University and was a social worker. She was a very giving, caring, strong and protective person. Carrie was very artistic, she loved to paint and draw. She was a spiritual woman. She enjoyed fishing. Carrie wrote a book for deceased grandson, Hunter. Carrie would always say “love you more”.

Carrie is survived by her children, Desira (Jeff) Noon, Nichole (Isaias) Vargas and Robert D. (Holly) Johnson II; grandchildren, Sierra, Alexa, Sofia, Keygun, Ariel, Landon and Asa; great grandchildren, Braelynn, Reed and Rhett and siblings, Chad (Kenna) Parkinson and Matt (Frances) Parkinson.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Steven Ludwick; grandson, Hunter Johnson; parents, Charles and Margaret Parkinson; siblings, Madelyn Parkinson and Charlene Norby.

A Celebration of Life reception will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.
