Beverly Jean Sorensen

Beverly Jean Sorensen, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Harmony Nursing Home, West Des Moines. She was born the daughter of Nels and Gail (Moore) Sorensen on December 8, 1936, in Norwalk, Iowa.

She is lovingly survived by her nephews, Gary (Barbara) Tomlinson and Craig (Cheri) Tomlinson, and nieces Judith (Dennis) Johnson, Pat (Laverne) Middleworth, Clara (Donald) Welch, and Mary (Mark) Halbmaier.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Nels and Gail Sorensen, step-siblings Agnes Nissen, Stanley Sorensen, Clifford Sorensen, Wayne Sorensen, Mildred Lewis, Robert Ball, and Mary Warner, and half-sister Marjorie Tomlinson.

Honoring her generous wish, she donated her body to Des Moines University for anatomical and surgical studies. No formal services will be held.
