Barbara Jean Elliott, 90, passed away peacefully at her daughters’ home in Des Moines on Saturday, October 5, 2024 while under the care of Hospice of the Midwest.
She was born March 4, 1934 in Knoxville, Iowa to Frank and Flossie Cooley.
Barbara married Wayne “Dick” Elliott and they resided in Des Moines, Iowa until his death in 1994. She worked at Des Moines General Hospital and then Chrysler Financial until she retired in 1996.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Diana (Jim); son, Gary; grandson, Jimmy; and great grandchildren, Elliott and Leah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne “Dick” Elliott; parents, Frank and Flossie Cooley; brother, Raymond; and grandson, Gary Elliott, Jr.
Following Barbara’s wishes family invites friends to a graveside service on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, 4432 Parkridge Avenue in Pleasant Hill.
