Barbara Edwards

Barbara Edwards, 80, passed away on February 18, 2025. She was born on August 27, 1944 in Minneapolis, MN to Harold and Ester Holmes.

Barbara lived in Minnesota, Texas, Oregon, and Iowa throughout her life. She worked as a nurse’s aide, in a bookstore and many odd jobs. Barbara enjoyed reading book and coloring with gel pens. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Lisa Holmes; sons, Robert Anderson and Timothy Anderson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Edwards; daughter, Robin Coan and granddaughter, Jaiden Kimbley.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa. Barbara will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Ave., Des Moines.
