Bill was an organizer. He was the one to organize a golf meet, a card game, or a trip to the casino.
Those of us that can remember the 70's will recall a popular Sunday night tv show on WHO that featured Jim Zabel {voice of the Hawkeyes}. Jim always had a guest and they would predict the outcomes of the next weeks football or basketball games. "Bill the Organizer" set up a similar weekly pool of a dozen or so games of interest, always including the Hawks, ISU and Drake. The entry fee was $1. Winner take all. There were no point spreads and no internet gurus giving advice. Get your picks turned in by 4pm on Friday!! It was all good fun. You can guess who won the pool about 50% of the time. "Bill the Organizer". R.I.P. Bill.

Mary, Angie, and Brad, et al: Very sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. I always enjoyed him, his passion for golf, and the Hawks.
The Xmas scavenger hunt was my favorite.
He will be missed. Peace to all of you.

Although it’s been many years since Bill and I worked together he is well remembered not only as a colleague but a friend as well. Mary, my heart goes out to you and your family for your loss. My sincere regret and condolences. May he rest in peace.

No words can fix the broken heart after a loss of a parent. But you can smile when you remember all the special times you shared. I pray for you and your family to have the strength now and in the future when you need it.

So many memories with Bill and the Iowa Hawkeye gang. Bill was for sure the vocal leader at Hawk games especially if Mrs. T won the bets. Bill was a true friend that whenever you saw him it was as if you just saw him yesterday with the friendship.
Condolences to all the family and God Bless

How to summarize a 60 year close friendship? We met as sophomores at Lincoln and had lunch about a year ago. After selling the company, our paths diverged, but my admiration never waivered. Bill knew me well enough to see beyond any facade or external supposition. He always told me the whole truth and I counted on him for that. His advice was direct and his heart pure. Mary was the perfect gift from the universe. He deserved her and loved her infinitely. My life was blessed by knowing them both.
