Waylon Jeffrey Bevar
February 21, 2023 — October 31, 2024
Waylon Jeffrey Bevar was welcomed into this world by Kayla Bevar on February 21, 2023, in Mason City, Iowa. He went into the loving arms of Jesus on October 31, 2024.
In Waylon's short 20 months here on earth, he touched many lives with his loveable nature and curious mind. Waylon loved dinosaurs and even dressed up as one to go trick or treating with his cousin, Neveah. His favorite toy was his brown dinosaur that he had to have with him at all times. He liked playing outside at the park where he would always find a stick to carry, watching Cocomelon, telling you "no" if you said "yes", and playing with the cat, Scout. He enjoyed playing peek-a-boo with his favorite blanket and getting chased around when it was time to get changed and would giggle with every step. Waylon always wanted french fries, fruit snacks, or an uncrustable with every meal. He would bring joy to every moment with his curly locks and big smile or a sweet hug he shared with everyone he met. His amazing capability to share love with everyone continued with his organ donation.
Grateful for having shared his life are his mommy, Kayla Bevar; brother, Adrian Lee; tummy kisses for his soon to be born brother, Phoenix Sawyer; grandma, Amanda; great-grandmas, Pam and Linda; grandpa, Jeff; grandma, Brooke; aunts, Emma and Norah; uncle, Leo; 2-year old cousin Neveah, who he shared a special bond with and who thought of herself as his second mommy; and many other great aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was welcomed into Heaven by his great-grandpa, Rick, and his big cousin, Conner.
A celebration of life will be held in February around Waylon's second birthday. Details will be shared with family and friends as this date approaches. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the West Des Moines first responders (paramedics, firefighters, and police officers) in Waylon's honor, who showed great compassion to Waylon's family.
