Wallace “Wick” Allen Scovel, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 7, 2023.

Wick was born September 17, 1937, in Des Moines, Iowa to Elmer and Ethel (Rattray) Scovel. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Wick worked as a heavy equipment operator for 59 years and was a member of IUOE #234.

He is survived by his sons, Ted Scovel, Tommy Scovel, Timmy Scovel, and Terry Scovel; step-children, Dawn Worley, Mark Worley, and Kirk Worley; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Wick was preceded in death by his first wife of 49 years, Barbara Jean Scovel; and his second wife of nine years, Teresa Ann Worley.

According to Wick’s wishes, cremation will occur and there will be no services held at this time.
