Virginia "Ginny" Mae Fedson
January 29, 1931 — October 22, 2023
Virginia “Ginny” Mae Fedson, 92, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 22, 2023. She donated her body to the University of Iowa for research. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Ginny was born January 29, 1931 in Lacona, Iowa to Dale and Leota (German) Mullins. She graduated from North High School in 1949. Ginny retired in 1994 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where she had worked for over 29 years, during which time she also worked part-time at United Central Bank. Ginny had been a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church for over 70 years. She loved her cats and enjoyed knitting and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Ginny is survived by her children, Richard (Maureen) Fedson Jr., Pam (Bruce) Ramsey and Mark (Marcella) Fedson; daughter-in-law, Kathy Fedson; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Amy Fedson; son, David Fedson; sisters, Beverly Jean Mullins, Doris Brown and Dorothy Gibson; and her brothers, Nial Mullins and Lial Mullins.

Ginny was a long time friend of my Aunt Dodi Ritchie from the North High Class of '49. I have a lot of great memories of her from when I was growing up. She was always kind and I know her friendship meant a lot to my Aunt.

Dear Fedson family,
