Viictor and my father Johnny Johnson were good friends and both loved the cubs. In my fathers last years he always looked forward to victors calls. I talked with him on the phone many times. I was looking him up to call him when I got the news. He was loved dearly by our family and I will be forever grateful for his friendship with my dad. Now they are both in heaven and can talk about the cubs again.

I was so sad to hear about Uncle Vic's passing. I remember when I was young, and he was over at Grandpa Campos' in his uniform. He was always smiling and made me laugh. I wish we could have stayed in touch throughout the years. God bless.
