Terry Cubbage, 78, passed away on March 14, 2024. He was born on April 14, 1945 to Carmen and Glenn Cubbage in Des Moines, Iowa.

Terry graduated from North High School in 1963. Terry then joined the Army in 1965 where he was stationed in Germany until being honorable discharged in 1967. Upon returning from the Army, Terry held numerous jobs; including, bartending, Deputy Sheriff and Security Guard, before retiring. Terry met his wife, Margaret by fate as he was exiting out of a bar in 1977. Terry and Margaret wed in 1979 where they enjoyed a wonderful 45 years together. Once retired, Terry developed a passion in woodworking, gardening and becoming a babysitter to his granddaughter, who he loved and adored. Terry was a helpful hand to anyone in need.

Terry is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Laura; son, Abraham; granddaughter, Elizabeth; siblings, Gordon and Elaine; Terry also leaves behind his beloved cats, Zach and Luke.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dorothy, Juanita, and Maureen; brother, Verne; and cats, Midnight, Windy, and Lucky.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa.
