Service Details
Tommalynn Whitmore, 67, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025. Services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place a Laurel Hill Cemetery after the services.
Tommalynn was born April 1, 1958, in Des Moines, Iowa to Thomas and Ginger Ballard.
She is survived by her daughters, Jessica (Craig) Roberts, Wendy Whitmore, and Mindy Whitmore; sisters, Debbie Wathne, Marge Stepp, and Dawn Lanman; twelve grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.
Tommalynn was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Whitmore; parents, Thomas and Ginger Ballard; daughter, Tammy Whitmore; grandson, Jose Bernardino; sister, Bettie Holland; and brother-in-law, Roger Lanman.

Hard to believe I'm saying good bye to you. I was born in January and you in April of the same year. Many summers we spent together when growing up. I know your daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren will miss you. Now you can hold your 1st born again and see your parents. I hope you are at Peace. I hold our childhood memories to be precious forever...Rest in Peace...or give em hell.
