Thomas Dunlap

Thomas James Dunlap, Jamey, age 55, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, in his home in Bauxite Arkansas.

Jamey was born October 1, 1969, in Des Moines, Iowa to Harold and Patricia (Carter) Dunlap.

He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, dirt bikes, going to the races, drinking beer, Jamey was an avid motorcycle rider, including going to bike rallies with his boys, Popeye, TJ, Nate and nephew Harold. most of all loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Jamey will be remembered for his generosity, being caring, and his bad dad jokes.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Dunlap of 33 years. Son, Bradley “Popeye” Davis (Marjie) grandkids (Keigen, Addie, Rayah, and Ryker). Son, Thomas Dunlap Jr. (Haley) grandkids (Ari, Shell, Marsha, Dallas, Hazel). Daughter, Marsha Davidson (Nate) grandkids (Matthew, Presley, Hadley). Sons, Jacob Logan and Chuck Dunlap. Sisters Kathy and Tamie; brothers, Harold and Steve; and many bonus brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jamey was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Patricia Dunlap, Step mom Caldonia Isom, brother Matt Dunlap, sister sue Dunlap, sister in law Michelle Madison and both in-laws Claude and Linda Davis

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2025 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2025, also at the funeral home followed by burial at Woodland Cemetery, Iowa Center.
