Tammie R. Blackburn

Tammie Renee Blackburn, 64, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024.

Tammie was born November 19, 1959, in Des Moines, Iowa to Richard and Donna Wolver. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, David Blackburn; children, David Jr. (Ashley) Blackburn and Jen (Haus) Apt; grandchildren, Bode, Brett, George, Jensson, and Willow; her father, Richard Wolver; siblings, Sue Strable and Dick (Dawn) Wolver; as well as other loving relatives and many special friends.

Tammie was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Wolver.

There will be a visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, and will be followed by cremation.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Tammie.

My condolences to David Blackburn and Family. I will always remember Tammie especially the conversation we had at the hospital when Richard had his heart attack. My heart goes out to Tammie’s friends and family.

Hap and I were stunned and saddened by the news of Tammy’s passing. Tammy was the first cousin I became close with when I entered the family more than 50 years ago. She always had that cute shit-eating grin on her face! We had some great times together. Our hearts go out to all the family. We love you all.
