Susie Etta Miller

Susie Etta Miller, 81, passed away in Des Moines, IA on April 26th, 2024.

Susie was born March 3rd, 1943 in Natchez, Mississippi to the late James Dixon and Viola Dixon. Susie graduated from Sadie V. Thompson High School in Natchez, Mississippi in 1962. Married to George A. Miller who joined the Airforce in 1962, with whom she traveled the world with tours overseas including, Okinawa, Japan, and the Philippines. Other locations included Anchorage, Alaska; Loring, Maine; Bellevue, Nebraska; and Colorado Springs, Colorado; where her four children were born.

Susie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and more. She enjoyed basketball, bowling, singing, and watching her children and grandchildren at sporting events. Susie was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, James Dixon, and Wardell Dixon; daughter, Sarita Miller; and son, George A Miller III.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughter, Sonja D. Miller, Killeen, TX; son, Stevan D. Miller (Penni), Des Moines, IA; grandchildren, Kenneth Saygo, Darian Saygo, Kenesha Saygo, Devon Miller, Iesha Bradley, Victoria Bradley, Maria Bradley, Kira McCarty, Chase Herron, Tyra Miller, and Damian Miller; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.
