Susan Linn Mills (Grovier), 65, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Perry Lutheran Homes – King Garden Campus in Perry, Iowa after several years with early-onset Alzheimer's.
Sue was born May 5, 1960, to Doris Ann Grovier (Frits) and Jack Arthur Grovier at Des Moines General Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
She enjoyed being outside in her garden, entertaining and telling stories, having a good time and traveling. She loved Donny Osmond all her life. She loved her cousin David and the other four of course. After a stint at the Seventh-day Adventist Oak Park Academy, Sue went on to graduate from East High School in Des Moines, Iowa. She began her career as a unit clerk at Methodist Hospital where she met her besties, Jodi and Steve with whom she enjoyed gambling among other things. She was politically active, always promoting the next populist candidate, with her last endeavor as precinct captain for Bernie Sanders. She weekly visited with her grandma Alice while she had her, and was always preparing for the next family holiday. She was always on the go, inviting people to do anything she found going on in the community or just walking with her friend Lee.

I am sad to see that Susan passed even though we had not talked in a long while. She was such a kind person who exuded a calm feeling in me when we did talk. We worked together at the IME.
I pray you, her family,
remember her strong points and her smiles as well as all of the moments she shared her love with you.
Sincerely,
Terri Groover

I enjoyed working with you at Telligen where we worked across the isle from each other. You always talked about your grandchildren, you loved them so much.
I was so fortunate to see you at Target one day and you had Jack with you! You just beamed when you introduced me to him. Thank you for just being you. You will never be forgotten.
