Stefani Sue Sibert, 65, passed away on May 14, 2024 at UnityPoint Taylor Hospice House.

She was born May 28, 1958 to her parents, James Sibert and Ronicia “Carmella” Cosner. Stefani graduated from East High School in 1976. She worked for Des Moines Water Works and the Des Moines Police Department. She retired from the Des Moines Police Department in 2018.

Stefani was a very loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren.

Stefani is survived by her sons, Shane Burkhead, Adam Burkhead, and Jacob Burkhead; her mother, Ronicia “Carmella” Cosner; grandchildren, Caleb Hamby, Makaio Burkhead, Sophie Burkhead, Monica Burkhead, Maxwell Burkhead, Samwell Burkhead; and brothers, Jim Sibert, Todd Cosner, and Rodney Cosner.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Lewis Sibert; sister, Michelle Cosner-Davis; grandmother, Ruth Lawrenz; and grandfather, Don Baxter.

Celebration of life open house from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Now or Later Restaurant, 3750 E University Avenue in Des Moines.
