Song Hen, age 60 passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 17, 2023. Song was born on March 3, 1963 in Pailin, Cambodia to Kang Hen and Hom Ngin. On April 23, 1980, the family fled to America. The family then was sponsored in Lakewood, Washington. Shortly after in 1983, they came to Des Moines, Iowa. In Des Moines he met his lovely wife Nok, they married on May 5, 1996.

Song was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and etc. He enjoyed going fishing, hunting, watching tv shows, and hanging out with family he loved the most.

He is survived by his wife, Nok Noeuy; children, Marina Song, Bouney Song and Phaney Song; granddaughter, Blakeley Song; mother, Hom Ngin; siblings, Shon Hen, Summaly Hen, Soan Hen, Sodam Hen, Phola Choun, Samien Hen, Samon Hen and Vendey Hen.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Kang Hen.

Services will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 N.W. 60th Avenue Des Moines, Iowa. Family will greet friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. with service beginning at 3:00 p.m.
