Sherry Rae Perkovich

Sherry Rae Perkovich, 74, passed away on December 21, 2023 at Kavanagh on 56th Street.

Sherry was born on November 8, 1949, in Des Moines, Iowa. She retired from Polk County after many years.

She was a feisty yet very loving woman. She loved to make people laugh. She was a very faith-filled woman and a devout member of Eagle Vision Church. She loved being with her dog, Muck Muck, and cat, Sprinkles.

Sherry is survived by her best friend, Tammy Brower; aunt, Helen Schooley; sister, Vickie Schooley; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and loving husband, Rick Perkovich.

The family will greet friends on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the funeral home. Sherry will be laid to rest at Avon Cemetery.
