Scottie Ann Muir
March 04, 2026 — March 04, 2026
Scottie Ann Muir was born an angel on March 4, 2026, to her loving parents, Cassie and Colin Muir.
While Scottie unfortunately never got to experience life outside of her mom, she was very expressive on what she enjoyed in life. She loved when her kitties would lay by her and hear their purrs and meows. During her ultrasounds she was always playful but beautifully stubborn. She was an even pickier eater than her mom as she only wanted a few select foods. Some of our favorite memories with her are being outside while on the golf course. Scottie’s favorite sound and touch was from when her parents would talk to her.
Our favorite memories as a family of three are attending Hawkeye football games, watching the Chiefs play every Sunday, golfing multiple times a week, watching the sunrise and sunset, being in the pool on vacation, and coaching basketball with her mom.
Although her stay on earth was brief, she has made a lasting and meaningful impression on so many lives. While it has only been a few days, we have seen Scottie in our lives through many forms as our angel. The family will honor her memory and carry her forever in their hearts.
“If love could’ve saved you, you would have lived forever.”
Scottie will be forever loved and cherished by her mommy and daddy. She is survived by her grandparents Brenda and Matt Dougan, Tracey Mcleod, and Ronald Chubb. Her great grandparents Susan and Don Wilson, Deloris and Gary Winings, Robert and Pam Muir, Joan Mcleod, and Norma Dougan. Her aunts and uncles Patrick Chubb, Jackson (Hannah) Muir, Mykayla (Charlie) Thilges, Sydney Dougan, and Garron Dougan. Her cousins Addy Chubb, Georgia Thilges, and Amirah Ward.
She was preceded in death by Patrick Muir, Joan Muir, Steven Mcleod, Ron Dougan, Jack and Sharon Parnell, Merle Miner, and David and Sharon Chubb.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, Iowa with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery.
