Sara Rae Simbro, 40, of Des Moines, passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2025. Born on November 1, 1984, Sara was known for her adventurous spirit and her love for the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, fishing, mushroom hunting, and was a dedicated fan of WWE.
Sara’s family was everything to her. She is survived by her loving mother, Lynnette Childers; father, George Simbro; sisters, Jessica (Shawn) Hudson, Shelbie (Ace) Parks, and Abby Simbro; brother, David (Elizabeth) Rummans; as well as her beloved dogs, Chase, Rolo, and Twister, and her cat, Yoda. Sara also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her deeply.
She is preceded in death by her son, Greycien Simbro; papa, Scott Sheffer; grandparents; and beloved dog, Squeak.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Sara’s warm heart, vibrant personality, and love for life will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

I knew you were an amazing woman Sara but didn’t realize just how amazing until yesterday during your farewell service. Girl there was hundreds of friends and family there to celebrate you. You touched so many hearts and we all will miss you dearly. Rest in peace little one and God bless you.
