Shannon Workman-Shiffer, only 41 years old, passed away unexpectedly on February 23, 2025, in her own home. She currently resided on the south side of Des Moines, Iowa, but was born and raised on the east side she was always an Eastsider at heart. Loved by her parents Kenny Reed and Deborah Shiffer, she grew up being a loving and caring person. She put forward everyone else’s needs before her own, making sure everyone else was taken care of that she loved.

Shannon loved to cook and bake, always making different sweet treats, cheesecakes, homemade birthday cakes, and many other things, but most importantly her popular Sunday breakfast for anyone and everyone that wanted to come over and eat, even for her dogs. Shannon loved her children and animals deeply, and it was very easy to see; anyone that knew her knew how much she loved her children and fur babies.

She is survived by her children, Ethan, Meeah, Deborah, and David; her brothers, Rusty and Mikey; father, Kenny (Roberta); and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by mother, Deborah Shiffer.

Services will be held Friday, March 7, 2025, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m.
