Steven "Rock" Dewayne Robinson

Steven “Rock” De’Wayne Robinson, Sr., 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, while under hospice care at Parkridge Nursing Home in Pleasant Hill.
Rock was born November 22, 1955, in Des Moines, Iowa to Fred and Elnora (Williams) Robinson.
Steven attended Des Moines Public Schools and later on received his GED from Des Moines Technical High School. He continued his education at Des Moines Area Community College where he was awarded his Associate's Degree in Automotive.
Steven proudly served in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing and spending lots of time with his friends. Steven will be remembered by his grandkids for “the lock- it” and for his quotes such as “Shoot to kill” and “Quiet on the set”.
He is survived by his children: LaShon Jennings, Felisha Robinson, Steven Robinson, Jr., Terrence (TR) Robinson, Indica McCaughey, Clesean Stallworth, and Treseanae Robinson, his mother, Elnora Ashby Davis (Eugene Davis), and his brother, Pheland (Mitch) Underwood, all from Des Moines, IA. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and host of nieces and nephews.
Rock was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Jean (Robinson) Bell, her mother, Debra Fay Hale, his son, Diallo Daye, great-granddaughter, Ava Wade, brothers, Dale, Keith, Kelvin, and Mark Robinson, and his father, Fred William Robinson.
A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
