Steven Crowley, 65, of Des Moines, IA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at his home in Des Moines. Steven was born March 1, 1959, to Robert and Dorothy Crowley of Des Moines. He often spoke highly and lovingly regarding his mother. Steven enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He had a passion for dirt track races, and loved to work on cars and race cars as a hobby. He loved to listen to music and liked to go watch live local bands. Steven drove a truck over the road for 20+ years. He enjoyed driving until his health could no longer allow him to do so. Steven often considered himself as a goofball, and was always making goofy sounds and voices, and could never take a serious picture.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy and father, Robert; and his brothers, Bill and James. He is survived by his siblings, Bob (Carol), John (Barb), James (Kay), William (Sherry), Richard (Teresa), and Carol (Jerry); wife, Jill; children, Melissa (Tony), Reed, Heather, Greg, Chris, and Stephanie (Roby); and by his grandchildren, Colin and Eily.

No funeral services will be provided per Steven’s request. Cremation will occur and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Steven.
