Stella "Janet" Allen

Stella “Janet” Allen, a lifelong resident of Ottumwa, Iowa, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, at 1:32 a.m. She was born in Indiana to Vera Morrow and John Bigger.

Janet’s greatest pride was her family. She was a devoted mother to Richard Allen, Debby Murray, Joy Beliel, Christine Loukx, and Kathy Allen. She was a beloved grandmother to Krystal Reeves, Ashley Allen, Jessica Murphy, Matthew Beliel, Kyle Allen, David Allen, Michael Beliel, Tiffany Forney, Cody Allen, Monroe Beliel, and adopted grandchildren Kaylee Huff, Harleigh Keasling, and Brooklyn Keasling. Her love lives on through her great-grandchildren: Jadyn and Paetyn Reeves, Jamilah Nolan, and Michael Beliel Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Don Allen, her daughter Kathy Allen, and her sister Patricia Bigger.

Janet had a bold spirit and a fearless heart. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—especially playing bingo and visiting the casino, where she created many cherished memories with family and friends. Her extraordinary strength and unconditional love will be remembered by all who knew her.

She leaves behind a legacy of resilience, warmth, and unwavering love. Janet’s presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
