Ronald Roy Gale, 65, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, surrounded by those who loved him. He was born in Des Moines, IA on October 16, 1959, to Thomas Gale, Sr. and Doris Gale. He attended Lincoln High School.

Ron was a hardworking man who built a legacy through his business, RG Sodding, which he proudly ran for 40 years.

Ron was a dedicated father to James, Dakota, and Joey Gale. He was also the proud grandfather of Walker, Charlotte, and Brock Gale. Though his time as a grandparent was far too short, he made every moment count—spoiling his grandkids with chocolate milk, Mountain Dew, and Swiss Rolls, ensuring they always had a sweet treat and a cherished memory.

A true sports fan, Ron had a deep love for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Kansas City Chiefs, always cheering them on with unwavering enthusiasm. When he wasn’t working or watching his favorite teams, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing poker, grilling, gardening, and spending time at Prairie Meadows, where he loved watching horse racing. He was also an avid dog lover, always finding joy in the companionship of his furry friends.

Ron took great pride in creating a soccer field in his backyard, where his kids' soccer and football teams practiced and played. It became a special place, not just for his family but for many in the community. One of his proudest moments was when his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers used the field before their victory over Iowa State—a memory he cherished for years. GO BIG RED!!

He is survived by his children, James (Kaity) Gale, Dakota Gale, and Joey (Rachel) Gale; his grandchildren, Walker, Charlotte, and Brock Gale; the mother of his children, Rhonda Gale; his sisters, Windy Gale and Amy Gale; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
