Roman Delbert Dodge

Roman Delbert Dodge, angel born son of Ebby and Jake Dodge came into the world on May 20, 2025 after 27 weeks in the comfort of his mommy. Services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Valley Church, 4343 Fuller Road in West Des Moines, IA with private burial at Jordan Cemetery.

Roman was a big, tall baby who resembled daddy’s body structure and mommy’s facial features. He always looked forward to mommy’s 7 Brew coffee each morning and jumped for joy when hearing Daddy’s or Gigi’s voice. One of his favorite past times was pushing his knees up into mommy’s belly to feel the love she would give right back to him with the stroke of her loving hands.

There were so many hopes and dreams for this sweet baby boy. He will be forever remembered by his loving parents, Ebby and Jake Dodge; his grandparents, Brian and Nikki “GiGi” Prewitt, Tri Dodge, and Scott and Susan Dodge; great-grandparents, Dianne “Nana” and Bill “Papa” Brown, Marilyn Dodge, Joe Varnadore, and Terry and Audrey Meyerdirk; aunts and uncles, Isaac, Moriah, Chloe, Peprah (Gina), Parker (Dana), Preston and Mason; and many cousins and other loving relatives and special friends.

Roman was preceded in death by his grandparents, Delbert Dodge, Elaine Varnadore, Glenice Prewitt and Eldon Prewitt; uncles David Dodge and Jesse Varnadore.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Roman’s family as they will be gifting special care packages to other parents experiencing the loss of a child.
