Roberta Ann Shuey

Roberta Reser Shuey died on October 17, 2024 and was born on September 18, 1950 in Carroll, Iowa. She was the daughter of Dale and Ruth Reser and the oldest of nine.

Her early years were spent in Fort Dodge, Iowa but then the family moved to Des Moines where Roberta graduated from St. Joseph Academy. She operated a hair salon out of her home after high school and worked at Mercy Hospital. Roberta married Lowell Shuey on June 29, 1985 and they made their home in Grimes, Iowa.

Aunt Berta will be fondly remembered hosting movie night, baking cookies, and making crafts with her many nieces and nephews.

Berta is survived by her brothers, Ed (Holly) Reser, Phil (Esther) Reser and John (Dawn) Reser; her sister, Patti (Greg Joura) Reser; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell; her parents; brothers, Doug, Larry and Joe; and her sister, Mary Kay.

Roberta will be laid to rest with her husband, Lowell in a private ceremony at Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
