ReBecca Sue Tough

ReBecca Sue Tough, 76, passed away January 30, 2024 at Kavanagh House in Des Moines, Iowa.

ReBecca was born June 10, 1947 in Jefferson, IA to Robert and Anna Mae (Mahler) Miller. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and then earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Drake University. She began her career teaching in the Des Moines Public Schools and in Panora. Later, she worked for the State of Iowa in the Department of Human Services until her retirement in 2004. After retirement she moved to the Lake of the Ozarks and later back to West Des Moines and Waukee.

ReBecca took great joy in her four-legged children – too many over the years to mention. She also volunteered at the Grand Prix and Blank Park Zoo.

She is survived by her sister, Debra (Chuck) Stull of Waukee, IA; nephew, Dan (Katie) Stull of Waukee, IA; niece, Susan (Col. Eric Wieland) Stull of West Des Moines, IA; great nieces and nephews, Brecken and Bria Wieland and Madison Stull.

ReBecca was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

A private graveside service will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
