Ramona Jane Huss, 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2025, at her home in Ankeny with her family by her side.

Ramona was born February 1, 1931, in Albia, Iowa, the daughter of Pearl and Frances (Brawdy) Watkins. She was a lifelong resident of Des Moines, and worked for Polk County Social Services most of her life. Upon retirement, Ramona moved to Ankeny to Penelope Apartments where she treasured the friendships she made there.

Ramona is survived by her children, Kathy, Jody and Sonny; grandchildren, Ryan (Steph), Katie (Steve), Brittany, and Garrett; great grandchildren, Carter, Grant, Miles, Vanessa, and Taylor; and great great granddaughter, Lyla. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Casey Jones.

Private services were held and Ramona was laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, Iowa
