Richard N. Vert

Richard Neil Vert, 75, of Clive, IA, passed away peacefully at the Kavanagh House on December 10, 2024.

He was born on November 2, 1949, to Durward Vert and Donna Vert.

Richard took pride in his ability to make things look like new, whether it was car that had been wrecked or restoration of a piece of furniture, or a project built with his hands and heart. His meticulous craftsmanship and creativity were admired by those who knew him.

Richard found great joy in his regiment of playing cards with his friends on a regular basis, and of course the joy of watching Hawkeye Football and NASCAR with his nephew Chris. He will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother Donna Vert, two sisters Linda Marks (Barry Hesse) and Leanna Loomis (Dwight Loomis), long-term partner/friend Kathy Vaccaro, along with numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father Durward Vert and brother-in-law Tom Marks.

Any memorials may be directed to the family.

i remember playing game with dick when we lived next door to each other . He always had model care he was building. I have seen him since i moved away, but i know he will be missed. Rest in peace.
