Murene Robinson
May 21, 1937 — February 24, 2024
Rosetta Murene Robinson, age 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Taylor House Hospice with her family by her side.
Murene was born May 21, 1937, in Marshalltown, Iowa to Lawrence Everett Smith and Hilda Mary (Ash) Smith. She graduated from Le Grand High School and attended two years of education at Open Bible College. She has been a resident of the Des Moines area for the past 68 years. She married Clarence Dale Robinson and to this union, four children were born. Murene was a clerk for the State of Iowa for three years before working for Job Service for 18 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Cornerstone Pentecostal Church of God. Murene was a woman of strong faith, and she loved to attend church and travel.
She is survived by her sons, David Robinson and Steven (Nikki) Robinson; sister, Alice Smith; and other loving relatives and many special friends.
In addition to her parents, Murene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence Robinson; children, Jane and Jim Robinson; and her sister, Mary Ankrum.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2024, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines after the services. There will be a reception to follow at Hamilton’s Funeral Home.

Living out of state, I haven't seen Murene for quite some time but have many fond memories of my growing up years in Iowa when I got to see her. My condolences to Murene's family. She was a special lady. God and guardian angels be with family and friends during this difficult time.

So sorry to my Dear cousins for loss of their wonderful and loving mother she will truly be missed by all who loved her. I have no doubt she is with Jesus in Heaven with the rest of the family. God Bless my family at the this time of such great loss Love you all your
