Ryan W. Roam

Ryan William Roam, age 29, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, in the company of his loving parents.

Ryan was born April 16, 1995, in Des Moines, Iowa to Robert and Stephanie Roam. He loved hanging out with his friends and working on cars. He was known as “Mr. Fix It”. He could fix anything, and he wouldn’t fix it unless he could do it right. He was always willing to help anyone out, and often would pay out of his own pocket to do it.

He is survived by his father, Robert Roam; mother, Stephanie Roam; siblings, Micheal (Amanda) Roam, Megan (Robbie) Roam, Allison (Nick) Roam, Samantha (Elaja) Roam, and Timothy Kendall; nieces and nephews, Hailey, Logan, Emilea, Liam, Grayson, Maddox, Reign, and Isla; grandmothers, Elaine Koder-Cassady and Jean Roam; girlfriend, Sasha Rodgers; as well as a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald Roam, Sr. and Jerry Koder, Sr.; uncles, Jerry Koder, Jr., Mark Koder, and Byron Roam; and his cousin, Gage Koder.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Colfax Historical Society, 900 N Walnut Street, Colfax, IA 50054.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Ryan.
