Robert "Bob" Earl Combs

Robert “Bob” Earl Combs, age 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Kavanagh House in Des Moines after a courageous battle with various illnesses.

Bob was born September 28, 1951, in Des Moines, Iowa to Claude and Glenna (Clark) Combs. He worked for PDI for over ten years. Bob loved his kids and was the glue that held his family together. Even through his illness, he was always waiting up to make sure they were safe and checking in with them. He had a strong faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved listening to old music and sitting on his front porch. He was a simple man with simple needs.

He is survived by his children, Margaret Combs Kirkham, Joseph Combs, and Laura Busick, many grandchildren, siblings, Sharon, Debbie, Pammy, Mike, and Johnny, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Combs and his parents, Claude and Glenna Combs.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2023, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will take place at Woodward Cemetery in Woodward, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family to assist with expenses.
