Peter Jonathan Hosch

Peter Jonathan Hosch, 46, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, at his home in Clive, Iowa.

Pete was born October 5, 1977 to Michael and Susan (Johnson) Hosch. He grew up in Parkersburg, IA and graduated salutatorian of his class from Aplington-Parkersburg High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Northern Iowa and received the purple and gold award from the College of Business. Pete continued with a career at Hy-Vee Corporate which spanned over 20 years.

Peter enjoyed spending time with his family. They would go on hikes, bike rides and canoe. As an avid Iowa State fan, he looked forward to attending the football games with Claire and Carl, along with his parents. He especially valued the friendship of all his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Claire Hosch and Carl Hosch; his mother, Susan Hosch; siblings, Kimberly (Wade) Taylor, Patrick (Leah Martin) Hosch, and Sarah (Steve) Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Peter was preceded in death by his father Michael Hosch.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2024 at Walnut Hills United Methodist Church, 12321 Hickman Road in Urbandale, IA with visitation following from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
