**Peggy Hennigar: A Spirited Journey Through Life**

Peggy Hennigar, aged 85, concluded her exceptional journey on earth peacefully at her home on June 29, 2024, enveloped by the loving embraces of her immediate family. Born on March 11, 1939, in Williams, Iowa, to Fred and Marie Caruth, Peggy's life was a portrait of passion and adventure.

She married the cornerstone of her life, Lloyd Hennigar on June 26, 1971. The couple thrived on shared adventures, traversing life's pathways with joyous escapades that ranged from boating to exploring new destinations, and savoring warm winters in Arizona. Peggy was often seen behind the wheel of her red Camaro, top down and spirits high, embodied a life lived on her own terms.

A shopping professional as some would say, Peggy's zest for life was matched by her green thumb. Her gardens were a testament to her care and dedication, blooming with vibrant flowers that mirrored her colorful life. She was also a devout member of Ivy Centennial Methodist Church, and devoted her time to faith and community. Much joy was brought to her in the most recent years relaxing to traditional gospel hymns.

Peggy leaves behind a legacy of love and vibrant memories with her husband, Lloyd; granddaughters, Angela Little (Eric), Amy Van Sickel, and Sara Todd; great-grandchildren, Koby, Addison, Cameron, Ty, Treyc, and Brendan; brother, John Caruth (Phyllis); and sister, Stella Wepel (Marion). Her life was also touched by the early departures of her parents, daughter Cindy Eamer; sons, Rollie Fisher and Mark Hennigar; and grandson BJ Iseminger.

A joint visitation will be held for Peggy and her daughter Cynthia Eamer from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10 also at the funeral home.

As we prepare to celebrate her life at the upcoming memorial services, the family invites you to honor Peggy not with flowers, but with acts of kindness. Spread joy and care in your community, reflecting the very essence of Peggy’s own way of living.

Peggy Hennigar's story is not one of goodbye but a lasting invitation to embrace life as she did—with open arms and a boundless heart.
