Pauline E. Haworth

Pauline Haworth passed away on the morning of March 8, 2024 at Scottish Rite Park in Des Moines, Iowa. Pauline was a resident of Scottish Rite for nearly 14 years and was currently living in the Rowen Center. While at Scottish Rite, Pauline enjoyed her bridge groups as well as actively participating in many resident activities.

Pauline was born on December 27, 1929 to Paul and Eva Masear in Gowrie, Iowa. After graduating from Gowrie High School, Pauline continued her education at the American Institute of Business. Pauline retired in 1990 from the Equitable Life of New York.

While living and studying in Des Moines, Pauline met Frank Haworth and married in 1949. They were married for 61 years until Frank’s death in October of 2010. They enjoyed their retirement years with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren and of course, much travel. Frank and Pauline were charter members of Eastern Star.

Left to cherish many memories are her daughters, Jeanne (Bruce) Taylor of West Des Moines, Iowa and Shari Wood of Denver, Colorado; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, daughter, Barbara Davis, grandson, Matthew Jay Taylor, parents, Paul and Eva Masear, and two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, Iowa.
