Pa Htaw

Pa Htaw, age 103, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025.

Pa was born January 1, 1922, in Burma.

He worked as a farmer in Burma before immigrating to the United States in 2008, settling in Massachusetts. Pa later moved to the Des Moines area in 2012.

Pa was a man of devout faith. He loved attending church at Karen Baptist Church in Des Moines. He enjoyed reading and Bible study.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pae Naw; daughters, Oh (Jeffrey) Kler and Mu (Maung Than) Yaw; eight grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.

Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Karen Baptist Church, 6001 SE 5th Street, Des Moines. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
