Paul W. Carman

Paul Wayne Carman, 87, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa.

Paul was born March 5, 1938, to Charles J. and Alice M. (Waite) Carman in Elkhart, Iowa. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Little Rock, Arkansas. He worked for John Deere as a machinist for over thirty years prior to his retirement.

Paul was a member of Calvary Chapel. He also donated to Sunshine Acres Children’s Home over the years, which is located in Arizona. Paul lived there for twenty years, but resided primarily in Iowa.

He is survived by his brothers-in-law, DeWayne (Joy) Doubleday and Lew (Connee) Doubleday; children, Paul “Dennis” Carman, Mark Carman, Kerry Ray Carman, and Kristi K. Carman; Sharon Nelson (DeWayne’s sister); as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other extended family.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Carman; parents, Charles and Alice Carman; brother, Everrett Carman; and sister, Fern Carman.

Burial will take place at Cory Grove Cemetery in Elkhart, Iowa.
