Naly Sysavath

Naly Sysavath, 85, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025.

Naly was born February 1, 1940. He was a soldier in Laos and fought in many conflicts. He met his wife, Vansy, and they moved to the United States together, sharing 59 years of marriage. Naly was very devoted to the Wat Lao Temple. He was a social butterfly and was very feisty. He was “Mr. DIY” and always liked to fix things himself. Naly loved his family, gardening, and enjoying a cold beer.

He is survived by his wife, Vansy; children, Inpeang Sysavath, Seangmany Khambanoun (Sy Khambanoun), and Seangratsamy Sysavath; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Naly was preceded in death by his youngest son, Inphoun.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
