Norma Carole Rizk Ridout

Norma Carole Rizk Ridout, 79, passed away on September 10, 2023, at Kavanagh House in Des Moines. She was born in Des Moines on March 25, 1944, to Carl and Lenore (Taylor) Rizk.

Carole attended East High School. She worked at Central Tractor in Des Moines for 20+ years.

Carole’s ambition was to travel along the road of life, meeting each event with kindness, understanding, and wisdom. Nothing was too difficult for her.

Carole was generous with many charities. She enjoyed cooking, horse racing, and games of chance. Carole loved animals and had two special dogs, Snoopy and Peety.

She is survived by her nephew, Mike (Dani) Hodge, many great-nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Neil Rizk, and nephew Mark Hodge.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 15, 2023 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery after the services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Animal Rescue League or Disabled American Veterans, Des Moines.
