Neth Lo Rasavanh

Neth Lo Rasavanh, age 97, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 21st, 2023. Neth was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. La Quang Rasavanh and her son, Roger Rasavanh.

Neth was born in Sonla, Vietnam on October 10th, 1925 to Mr. & Mrs. Sam Lovan. She has 7 children, 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. 1) Roger (late) (married to, Bang) Rasavanh: Patrick (Rebecca): Abigail, Joseph, Daniel, Thomas (late), Andrew, and Ian, great-great-grandchildren: Miles and Addison; and David. 2) Pam Low: Jonathan, Amanda, Nick, and Justin. 3) Jimmy. 4) Chanda (Henry): Jeanda (Bay): Braeden and Kaelynn; Lena (Kenn): Kyenn and Tayton; Phillip: Elon and Auden; Chris (Mone): Gibson, Harper, Jude, Simeon, Ellie, and Fisher; Diana (Jason): Kenzie, Abram, and Mara. 5) Boun (Som), Victoria (David); and Sarah. 6) Mike (Dara): Samantha (late); Zach (Molly): Vivian, Quinn, and Margot; and Bella. 7) Sue (Sang): Katie, and Michael (Hayden).

Neth enjoyed being active outside, walking and tending to her garden of many fruits and vegetables. She loved to watch many programs on TV, which included football, wrestling, Wheel of Fortune, and The Price is Right. She kept her mind sharp by playing many card games with friends and family, but most important to her were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren whom she loved generously by giving them lucky money. She will be missed very much.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 28th, 2023 at First Church of the Open Bible, 2200 Beaver Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50310. Cremation will follow the service. Burial of the urn will take place in the Tai Dam section of Glendale Cemetery.
