Norma J. Hollander, 87, passed away at Story County Elderly Care Center on February 10, 2025.

Norma was born April 17, 1937, to Roy W. and Dorothy L. (Warrel) Hennick in Maxwell, IA. She grew up in Maxwell and attended school at Maxwell Schools from which she graduated.

On April 23, 1955, she married Arnold Smith and to this union there were five children born. They later divorced. She then married John J. Hollander on October 3, 1972, and to this union one daughter was born.

She worked at R.H. Donnelly, Proctor & Gamble Outlet and was a homemaker.

Norma is survived by one sister, Linda (Perry) Robertson of Maxwell, IA; her children, Kim Smith of Ames, IA, David (Elizabeth) Smith of Nevada, IA, and Patricia (Kevin) Netcott of Gilbert, IA; step children, Paula (Kevin) Luther of State Center, IA and Frank Hollander of Florida; 24 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; two daughters, Lori Sebring and Vicki (Hollander) Davis; one son, Wayne Smith; her parents; and her siblings, Richard Bell, Norman Hennick, Milton Hennick, Robert Hennick, Marion Hennick, and Susan Hennick.
