Norma N. Cade
January 28, 1931 — April 25, 2024
Norma Nadine Pratt Cade, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at New Horizons Habersham in Demorest, Georgia while under the care of Pruitt Health Hospice.
Norma was born January 28, 1931, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Dolliver and Geneva (Pike) Pratt. She had been a resident of the Des Moines area her entire life prior to moving to Georgia to be closer to family. Norma married John Rivas and to this union two sons were born, David and Dennis.
Norma worked for Ryko Manufacturing during her working years. She enjoyed watching NCIS and doing word search puzzles. She liked Pepsi and candy for a treat, and was a fan of Elvis Presley’s music.
She is survived by her sons, David Rivas (Mercena) of Cornelia, GA and Dennis Rivas (Lisa) of Cumming, GA, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews. Norma was preceded in death by her second husband Clark Cade, sister Dorothy, brother Larry, and her parents.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Laurel Hill Cemetery, 3601 E Court Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317.

Norma was always fun to be around and had a great sense of humor. Such a nice person. My sympathy to her family at this sad time.
