Monte B. Devore
May 13, 1968 — March 04, 2024
Monte Boyd Devore of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on March 4th, 2024. After a difficult battle with cancer, he is now riding those roads paved in gold.
He was born on May 13, 1968 to his parents Shirley and Ivan Devore. He grew up in Newton, Iowa. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He would often be found shopping at the estate sales, picking out the best Hot Wheels or another screwdriver that he didn’t need, in addition to tinkering with the Harleys, Street Glide and Alexa. Not to mention cheering on his favorite NASCAR Drivers, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He was a giving and loving man who will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Some walk through the gates of Heaven, but Monte will be revving his Street Glide and riding in fast and hard!
He was preceded in death by his brother Richard and his dad Ivan.
He is survived by his two boys, Clayton Devore (31) and Dustin (Kerri) Devore (29); his mom, Shirley (Gary) Erickson; Fiancé, Diane Andrade, and her children, Rebecca (Scott) Jimmerson, David (Mady) Andrade, and Anna (Patrick) Andrade; granddaughter, Alyssa Devore and nephew, Bailey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Condolences of sympathy may be expressed to the family at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com
