Wings were ready but we were not
- your loving mommy

Here we are still pushing on,
Yet another day and your still gone.
The tiny hands and fingers so soft and still,
feeling them in my own knowing that spot will never fill.
While wishing we had more time,
then realizing that no matter what you will always be mine.
Photos able to grasp that image worth a thousand words,
Words we will never get to hear you say, wanting that sweet voice to sing back while falling asleep as we sway.
While sitting here crying thinking of all the things
you would never get to do,
Not able to look up to the sky
to watch those cloud move across the sky so blue.
As we longed to hear you laugh, sing,
and hear you giggle,
Even to see you crawling, walking
to even that dance that makes you wiggle.
While our hearts will always love you and cherish you,
as you are and will be forever that will never change.
Your little hands in daddy's and mine,
knowing that those will never change in time.
there’s one thing that we learn an yes it might be rough,
feels like we can hear you.
mommy and daddy I'm quite alright,
everyone here welcomed me
and love me as much as you.
Those tears in your eyes should be for joy
as we will see each other again one day,
get to do all those things we wanted to do and even play.
My wings were ready but your hearts were not,
but my heart and spirit will always be with you.
To my mommy, daddy, brother and sissy
I love you so much
and I need you to know that,
I’ll always be there to see you and hear you.
